While making sure people are talking about your brand, but in the right way!

Since the Internet is so large, it’s pretty hard to track all of what people are saying on there right? Well, guess what? There are a few tools to help you keep tabs on what people are saying about you and your brand! Below is a list of 5 different examples of sites and tools that you can use in order to help you keep track of what people are saying.

  • If you don’t already have accounts on bookmarking sites like Digg, Reddit, Delicious, and Stumbleupon. You better get on it ASAP! These bookmarking sites are great for SEO and with a quick search of your brand name, you can gain access to tons of sites that may or may not be related to your brand. It would be a wise decision on your part to start posting your blog articles on these sites in order to gain a lot of exposure for your brand.
  • Do you use any type of Google Products? If not you really should look into both Google Alerts and Google Analytics. Google Alerts will search for and alert you to mentions of your websites, products, brand names, and just about any other keywords you want to track that are related to your brand! Google Analytics will actually show you how many people visit your site, where are these visitors are coming from, what content they viewed, how much time they spend on your site, and a whole lot of other crucial data on your website visitors. This will not only help you to track your inbound traffic and but will also help you find out where people are coming from and how they found your website. From this data you can then go and take a look at these other place and see what people are saying that is driving traffic back to your site
  • Twitter is another great resource to use to see what people are saying about you and your brand. Just search for your brand name and see what people are saying about you on Twitter. Also if you don’t already have a specific hash tag related to your business or brand, I highly recommend creating one. This will make it much easier to keep track of what people are saying about you and your brand.
  • A simple and effective way to track what is being said about you online is to just do a vanity Google search of yourself or your brand. Now that the big social media sites are being referenced heavily for SEO, they now appear atop Google search results. This makes it much easier to see what websites that are out there that are talking about or mentioning your brand. If you don’t already do vanity searches regularly for yourself, you might want to consider doing them for both yourself and your brand.
  • Finally, Two tools you may or may not heard of called Keotag.com and co.mments.com. These two sites will alert you and send you a notification if any of your specific keywords are being used in comments or in blogs posts on numerous websites. These sites will only be effective if you have specific keywords for your brand, if they aren’t specific enough they really will be useless for you to use.
