Marieke:
I agree with your findings about Twitter.

Twitter is a fast-paced, media-based network that is getting everyone, everywhere involved.

Celebrities, business professionals, moms, teens, businesses and well, basically everyone has embraced Twitter with wide arms.

The idea that a miniature status update will be a popular means of communication seems absurd at first but it has taken the media world by storm!

This is because we live in a society where Time=Money.

The idea that someone can hold a conversation with you (in a reply) based on whatever statement you’ve posted saves time (meaning that, each reader can pace his/her self and still be aware of updates).

based on personal experience, twitter is by far the best referring site as compared to Facebook and MySpace; and I must say, it's quite addicting too. as far as personal branding is concerned, social networking sites can only help you if you maintain personal relationships there and actually spend time there.

@mariek clear description of what twitter means for you. More detailed you can think of
- read articles which your friends recommend, a social news filter.
- check out gadgets, services and companies which people find interesting
- get instant feedback if you fire up an idea in the friends comunity
- use it to seed new stuff.

@jamar what the heck are you talking about? Is this twitter spam?
